Whether you work on a computer or use your phone, the number of hours we stare at a screen during the day is only increasing. What can we do to keep our eyes healthy? This week's Coach's Corner explore a few ways we can take care of our eyes:
1. Eat more foods that are good for the eyes. These include: tomatoes, wild salmon, dark leafy greens (like spinach and kale), pastured egg yolks, olive oil, black currents, carrots.
2. Get plenty of sleep. Like the rest of your body, your eyes rejuvenate when you're asleep. They also clear out irritants like dust, allergens, or smoke.
3. Watch what products you use. Without knowing it, face products, makeup, and cleansers can all be filled with toxins and synthetic chemicals. Use natural products. I love using pure essential oil based products or DIY-ing my own.
